Now Hiring an Electrical Design Engineer - Vehicle Electronics Location: Saline, MI Pay Rate: $54.00/hour Schedule: Hybrid, with at least 4 days per week onsite Ready to put your automotive engineering expertise to work on advanced vehicle electronics? We're seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a temporary opportunity in Saline, MI, focused on ECU, sensor, and electrical component design for North American vehicle platforms. Job Duties Design and package ECUs, sensors, and related electrical components. Develop 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CATIA V5. Lead component development through start of production, balancing cost, mass, performance, quality, and timing. Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering teams, project leaders, and international stakeholders. Support vehicle production trials and structured problem-solving activities. Participate in cross-functional Obeya meetings. Create engineering and process documentation using Microsoft Office. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. 5+ years of vehicle development experience. 5+ years of supplier collaboration experience. 4+ years of CATIA V5 experience, including parametric 3D modeling and drawings. Strong knowledge of vehicle development and manufacturing processes. Experience supporting production vehicle trials and solving complex engineering problems. Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency. ADAS, CAE, CST Studio Suite, automotive OEM, or electrical system design experience preferred.
