Research Scientist

The Department of Physics and Astronomy seeks a Research Scientist/Engineer to conduct spin dynamical calculations in materials and molecules, especially quantum dynamical calculations for NV-diamond systems and semiconductor devices, and interact with experimental efforts that are part of (a) the Center for Molecular Quantum Transduction based at Northwestern University, and those part of ReDESIGN, an AFOSR MURI based at Penn State University, and (c) the National Quantum Virtual Laboratory based at Ohio State University. These calculations will include theoretical simulations based on density matrix treatments, positive operator-valued measurement theory, stochastic Liouville equation simulations and Lindblad simulations. A history of collaboration with members of CMQT, ReDESIGN, and/or the OSU NQVL is a desirable characteristic.

REQUIREMENTS

* PhD in physics or closely related field.

* Relevant research experience and expertise.
