Shift:1 /7:00:00 AM to 6:00:00 PM ; 8-10 Hour Shifts (depending on practice needs)

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$20.00 - $23.50 / hour

Lee Health is seeking a customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Primary Care / Internal Medicine team. In this role, youll help patients navigate their healthcare visits while supporting the daily operations of our medical practices.

As a key member of the practice team, youll help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for patients by:

• Greeting patients and assisting with check-in and appointment scheduling.

• Managing incoming calls and responding to patient inquiries professionally.

• Verifying insurance coverage and coordinating authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals.

• Supporting billing activities, posting charges, and collecting payments when appropriate.

• Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting proper billing documentation.

• Collaborating with clinical and administrative team members to keep practice operations running smoothly.

• Providing exceptional customer service while protecting patient confidentiality.

Depending on the assigned practice, additional responsibilities may include supporting employee health, workers compensation, commercial insurance, or corporate accounts.

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Less than one year of clerical or administrative experience required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Computer proficiency and basic math skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience.

• Familiarity with insurance verification, medical billing, or healthcare office operations.

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required in Employee Health and may be required at other locations within 90 days of hire.
