About the role

As a Sr. Administrative Assistant, you will support leaders within Symetra's Retirement Division by providing a broad range of executive and administrative support that helps drive the day-to-day success of the team. This role is fast-paced and highly collaborative, requiring outstanding organization, good judgment, and the ability to prioritize multiple priorities simultaneously.

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted partner to Retirement Division leaders, coordinating complex calendars, travel, meetings, projects, and department activities. You'll also collaborate closely with colleagues throughout the organization to ensure seamless support and execution of key business initiatives.

What you will do



  • Provide proactive administrative support to leaders, including complex calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
  • Manage scheduling priorities, resolve calendar conflicts, and coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings.
  • Prepare, edit, and format presentations, reports, agendas, correspondence, and other business communications.
  • Support department projects and initiatives by coordinating timelines, tracking deliverables, and facilitating communication across stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings, events, team activities, catering, and other department logistics.
  • Assist with purchasing, vendor coordination, invoice processing, expense reconciliation, and budget tracking.
  • Create and maintain filing systems, records, and organizational resources while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Partner closely with leaders, team members, and administrative professionals throughout the organization to provide outstanding service and operational support.

Location Requirements

This role follows a flexible hybrid work arrangement and requires occasional in-office support at our headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Compensation

Hourly Range: $27.10 - $45.16 hourly plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program.

Who You Are



  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years of administrative, executive assistant, or related professional support experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple leaders and managing complex calendars in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, solve problems independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and service-oriented with a strong ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Experience with Monday.com, Salesforce, Concur, and/or Egencia is preferred.
