Mercury Systems is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to the Manufacturing Engineering team. In this hands-on role, you'll support manufacturing process improvements, performance monitoring, and data analytics.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Support manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with the Manufacturing Engineering team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Participate in team meetings to contribute to product and process improvement initiatives
  • Interpret, analyze, and summarize large datasets to support decision-making
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities beyond predefined KPIs
  • Conduct statistical data analysis and create clear charts, dashboards, and reports
  • Analyze equipment performance and utilization to support continuous improvement
  • Monitor and analyze SPC trends and product yield data
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation of analysis, findings, and process changes



Required Qualifications:



  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical discipline
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
  • Working knowledge of statistics and data analysis concepts
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (bonus for Power BI)
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma tools - Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5Y analysis etc.
  • Exposure to MRP concepts, forecasting methods or inventory management
  • Demonstrated leadership through an executive role in a club/organization/athletic team, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab or similar software)
  • Self-starter with the ability to proactively collaborate with teams outside of the immediate group to find solutions
  • Ability to translate technical and analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
