Job Description

Overview

TheHR Representativereports to the site HR Managerandpartners with site HRTeamto support Shared Services and Operations departments.The HR Representative will influenceand manageall areas of the employee lifecycle.Thisentry levelrole is responsible for establishing and maintaining the employee experience. This role will assist and support thesiteHR team with variousday-to-day tasks, provideadministrative support, and respond to inquiries.This is an onsite role at the Rocky Mount, Virginia campus.Travel between buildings within the campus required (approximately 2 miles). There may be opportunities for additional travel to other facilities within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding process, perform orientations, develop and cultivate relationships with newteam members,help attract and retaincandidates.
  • Manage off-boarding, including facilitating return of company assets and property, IT changes, explaining payroll/benefit implications, and conducting exitinterviews.
  • Facilitate changes in Dayforce(HRIS)and Payroll,as needed. Including creating documentation forinternal promotions andjobchanges.
  • Monitorand maintain data accuracyand integrityinapplicant tracking system andHRIS.
  • Understand and utilize HRIS system to assist with reporting on various workforce data and trends, etc. for the HR Manager and business leaders.
  • Partner with hiring managers, onsite HR team,Talent Acquisition, and appropriate external agencies oncoordinatingrecruiting efforts;this includesbut is not limited to: opening new requisitions, validatingproper approvals, attending intake meetings,providingrecruiting updates,tracking andreporting open requisitions, assisting candidates with applications, and assisting with hiring events.
  • Act as a resource to both managers andteam membersby offering support and guidance regarding company policies, HR process, generalcommunications,and best practices.
  • Coordinates information withonsite HR teamto ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Provide project management and administrative support,coordination,and planning efforts forlocal business and philanthropic activities at the site.
  • Log all inquiries into a case management system as appropriate.
  • File/archive paper documents in case management system, HRIS, or other shared archive as appropriate.
  • Managerequests for LOA(FMLA, ADA, etc.)relatedactivities.
  • Updateand managemetrics for the site, as directed.
  • Weekly monitoring and distribution of site mailbox toappropriate departments/individuals as appropriate.
  • Provide ID badge support for the site. This includes but is not limited to: digital photo and profile management, providing temp badges to visitors, documenting replacements and submitting the list for payroll deductions, ordering more supplies, and coordinating forklift program administration with EHS.
  • Provides ad-hoc supportand coverage forthe onsite HR team.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality when completing various administrative activities.
  • Other duties asassigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field or minimum of2years HR experience,required
  • 0-3 years of experience in HR
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Professionalcertification,preferred
  • Generalknowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Must beproficientin MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Abilityto multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with generative AI tools (ChapGPT, Claude, etc.) preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Haitain Creole, Arabic, or Swahili preferred
