This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.We are a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth. As part of a diverse, hardworking, and collaborative team of engineers you will be responsible for managing and leading teams in the hands-on design, development, supplier management, and system engineering across the fluids systems of a new advanced New Glenn upper stage. You will have integral responsibility for employee performance through professional development, mentoring, technical guidance, and development of training programs. Technical leadership will be required to drive the team to solve difficult problems, incorporate changes, and lead failure investigations. As a leader across the entire stage, you will be responsible for setting and enforcing design standards, working interfaces between systems, and solving technical and programmatic issues. You will share oversight responsibility including Engineering Change Approvals, checking drawings and technical documents, and managing the purchase order system (MRP). You will provide leadership and oversight through major test efforts and stage qualification, build, hot fire, and launch. You will need a proven ability to develop, execute, and improve technical processes in the design and development cycle of rockets by formulating and implementing preventative and corrective actions.
