Tech Spec I - Completions Avionics/Electrical Engineer (Appleton, WI)in GAC Appleton Unique Skills: This is a Design Engineer position in the Completions Electrical/Avionics Engineering group. Responsibilities primarily involve developing the engineering data to interface new systems into the aircraft; the drafting of new and derivative versions of aircraft wiring diagrams as part of outfitting new aircraft; and supporting cabin software integration. The design engineer will design installations while meeting the electrical load requirements and FAA certification guidelines of the entire interior installation. Engineering design work includes the creation of data using AutoCAD, or Capital HarnessXC, and SmarTeam while employing design standards consistent with company standards and accepted design methods. Engineer may be required to liaison with hangar and shop teams on engineering issues. Design assignments are executed under the direction of a Lead engineer or Group Head to meet the manufacturing schedule. Additional responsibilities are outlined in the job description and as assigned by the Avionics/Electrical Engineering Group Head. Required: - Strong technical skills with knowledge of electrical engineering prints and their interpretation - Ability to effectively work with and support a multi-discipline team of engineers, technicians, certification personnel, etc. - Knowledge of Capital HarnessXC, Capital Logic and Autocad Preferred: - Flexibility to move quickly from one assignment to the next and the ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously - Be a highly motivated, eager to learn, results driven individual Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 ys in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
