The Service Delivery Analyst - IT Asset & Data Center Management is responsible for the day-to-day ownership, accuracy, and operational management of IT asset inventory, CMDB data, and data center documentation. This role focuses on data quality, audit readiness, and coordination of data center activities while following established processes and standards.
On-Call Requirement: Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Location: Nova Place in Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid
Responsibilities:
IT Asset Management & CMDB Ownership
* Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory across the enterprise
* Track asset ownership, assignment, location, and lifecycle status
* Serve as the operational owner of the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
* Maintain configuration items (CIs), attributes, and ownership records
* Manage and validate CI relationships to support incident resolution and impact analysis
* Perform regular data reconciliation with discovery tools and source systems
Data Center Coordination
* Support daily operational needs of the data center environment
* Coordinate with infrastructure, facilities, security, and vendors to resolve issues
* Maintain accurate records of data center assets, locations, and ownership
* Track hardware lifecycle stages including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement
Audit, Compliance & Documentation
* Maintain documentation required for regulatory, internal, and external audits
* Ensure audit readiness for asset, access, and vendor-related records
* Support remediation of audit findings related to CMDB or asset data
* Maintain documentation for physical access controls and governance
Vendor & Contract Coordination
* Maintain records for vendor contracts, maintenance agreements, and renewals
* Coordinate vendor activities related to hardware support, maintenance, and service calls
* Track contract terms, expirations, and service entitlements
Data Quality & Reporting
* Perform regular CMDB health checks and asset data validation
* Generate operational reports related to inventory accuracy, lifecycle status, and compliance
* Identify data gaps and inconsistencies and follow remediation processes
24/7 On-Call & Incident Support
* Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting asset and CMDB-related incidents
* Provide asset and CMDB data to support incident triage and root cause analysis
* Ensure CMDB updates are completed as part of change management processes
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Storm role duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related degree
- 2+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, CMDB administration, data center operations, or IT infrastructure support
- Hands-on experience maintaining asset inventories and CMDB data in a production environment
- ITIL Foundation certification (v3 or later)
- Familiarity with ITSM and CMDB tools (ServiceNow, Jira/Insight, or similar)
- Experience supporting 24/7 environments and on-call rotations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, CMDB administration, data center operations, or IT infrastructure support
- Experience working in regulated or audit-heavy environments
- Familiarity with data center hardware (servers, storage, networking)
- Experience working with vendors and maintenance contracts
- Exposure to physical access controls and security processes
- Basic reporting or dashboarding experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Proficiency in IT asset inventory and CMDB administration
- Knowledge of asset lifecycle and configuration management practices
- Strong documentation, audit-readiness, and compliance skills
- Ability to identify and resolve data gaps and inconsistencies
- Effective coordination across infrastructure, facilities, security, and vendors
- Familiarity with data center hardware and operational support
- Strong organizational, reporting, and record-management abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a 24/7 support environment
