As a Global Business Services Accounts Payable Supervisor, you'll step into a hands-on leadership role at the center of IDEXX's Finance shared services organization, leading a high-volume team where no two days look the same. You'll sharpen your leadership skills daily - coaching your team, assigning work, and keeping performance on track - while building a strong foundation for what's next in your career. This is a hybrid role based out of our Westbrook, ME headquarters, with a minimum expectation of 8 days a month onsite.

Our finance department powers IDEXX's global business through accurate, efficient, and well-controlled financial operations, and this fast-paced team is right in the middle of the action - a great place to grow as a leader while making a visible, daily impact.

In this role:

  • You'll lead day-to-day operations for your team - assigning work, tracking progress, and coaching performance to keep everyone moving forward.
  • You'll administer employment actions and invest in your team's growth through coaching, training, and development.
  • You'll plan and organize a high-volume workload, keeping staffing and resources aligned so internal and external customers stay satisfied even when things move fast.
  • You'll build strong relationships with customers and step in to resolve escalated or critical issues with confidence.
  • You'll partner across departments to coordinate work and solve problems as they come up.
  • You'll lead or contribute to process improvements, using data and metrics to spot opportunities and drive efficiency - a great way to sharpen your analytical and change-management skills.
  • You'll help maintain the team's technology and systems, coordinating with other departments and vendors as needed.
  • You'll prepare reports and analyses that summarize team activity and help resolve open questions - visibility that puts your work in front of leadership.
  • You'll stay current on IDEXX products, services, and industry developments, building the broad business knowledge that fuels your next move.

What you need to succeed:

  • 1-2+ years of supervisory experience, with in-depth experience in finance operations.
  • Accounts Payable experience
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and direct the work of a team.
  • Strong reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues.
  • Customer service experience, with a track record of building strong working relationships.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
