Overview

LMI is seeking an experienced, technology-minded, and forward thinking Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead strategic talent initiatives in support of a high visibility, multi site enterprise IT program from our headquarters in Tysons, VA. This role is ideal for a high impact HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, AI/technology centric environment and who blends business acumen, data-driven insights, and innovative thinking to solve complex workforce and organizational challenges.

This position operates in a dynamic, client forward, hybrid work model, requiring consistent on site support at LMI's Tysons Corner, VA location and onsite presence at program facilities, with flexibility to work remotely in alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partner

    Partner with program leaders to align workforce plans, talent strategies, and organizational goals that support high-performing delivery across multi site program operations. * Use AI- and technology-driven insights to shape people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and operational outcomes. * Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, contributing thought leadership on workforce planning, succession, organizational optimization, and program scalability.

Operations Partnership

  • Lead end to end talent onboarding, assimilation, engagement, and retention efforts for program staff, ensuring a cohesive employee experience across program locations. * Serve as the strategic bridge between program leadership and enterprise HR, talent management, learning, total rewards, culture, and quality resources. * In partnership with Talent Management, lead the design and continuous improvement of performance management, development, and employee engagement programs within the program area. * Anticipate workforce needs and connect leaders with the right tools, expertise, and data ahead of demand to maintain operational performance. * Translate business and program requirements into actionable talent strategies using data, analytics, and measurable outcomes. * Support performance management cycles, compensation reviews, workforce analytics, and utilization monitoring with precision and consistency. * Assess current and future workforce capabilities, identifying gaps and designing solutions that enhance program execution, organizational effectiveness, and mission success. * Partner with leaders and program managers to optimize staffing models, talent deployment, and new project or site startups. * Build and track success metrics to demonstrate measurable ROI and business impact of talent initiatives. * Address management and employee matters with care, speed, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Employee Champion

  • Champion a seamless, end to end employee experience across all phases of the talent lifecycle, ensuring clarity, consistency, and empowerment. * Equip employees with the tools, resources, and support they need to perform and grow in a multi location program environment. * Use feedback, engagement insights, and analytics to continuously strengthen enablement, retention, and employee satisfaction. * Translate enterprise initiatives (learning, mobility, recognition, performance) into program specific actions that resonate with employees and leaders. * Provide thoughtful guidance to employees on career development, performance, and engagement. * Contribute to initiatives that promote belonging, recognition, well being, and continuous development.

Change Agent

  • Lead and support change management efforts for high impact program and enterprise initiatives, including project startups, expansions, reorganizations, and digital transformations. * Foster clear communication, alignment, and adoption across program teams during periods of change. * Coach leaders and teams through transformation to ensure impacts elevate mission delivery, alignment, and culture. * Champion agility, innovation, and continuous improvement across people practices. * Leverage AI and digital tools to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and elevate insights that inform decision making.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, preferably in AI/technology, defense contracting, defense technology, or federal solutions environments with direct client facing responsibilities.

  • * Proven ability to build strong relationships with leaders and influence through credibility, insight, and partnership. * Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders on strategic workforce priorities, including organizational design and transformation. * Experience using AI, automation, and data analytics to shape scalable talent solutions and drive outcomes. * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred). * Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and stakeholders. * Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to present data driven insights that influence action. * Deep understanding of HR compliance, workforce planning, employee relations, and emerging industry trends. * High emotional intelligence with a collaborative, adaptable, and future focused mindset. * Ability to travel to program locations and maintain consistent on site presence with program teams at LMI HQ and customer facilities.

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.Approximate range of $100,000 - $150,000, subject to change based on the factors listed above.
