Pure Air is seeking a full-time Associate Field Service Technician to support field service activities related to the installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and servicing of air purification and odor control systems. This position reports to the Field Service Manager and works under the guidance of experienced technicians while developing foundational knowledge of Pure Air products, field service processes, equipment assessment methodologies, and customer support practices. The Associate Field Service Technician assists with field projects, customer site visits, service documentation, safety compliance, and technical support activities while building the skills necessary to perform field service work independently.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist with field service activities including media changeouts, room sealing projects, equipment inspections, startup and commissioning activities, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Travel to customer sites with experienced field service personnel to support service projects and customer needs.
- Learn and follow established field service procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and company standards.
- Assist with removal and replacement of adsorbent media in odor control and air purification systems.
- Support room sealing, testing, verification, and documentation activities under supervision.
- Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, functional verification, and customer training activities.
- Observe and assist with troubleshooting activities and escalate equipment issues to senior technicians when appropriate.
- Collect equipment, site, and operational data to support equipment assessments and service reporting.
- Complete required service reports, inspection forms, timesheets, expense reports, and other documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and job sites in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Participate in technical, safety, product, and customer service training programs.
- Identify safety concerns, equipment abnormalities, or customer issues and promptly notify supervision.
- Follow all company safety requirements, PPE requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to positive customer experiences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel extensively to customer locations, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
- Ability to learn technical products, equipment, procedures, and field service processes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively under supervision.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to utilize basic computer applications including Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to understand labels, manuals, technical instructions, and safety information in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely use basic hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to obtain required company training and field service qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous field service, maintenance, industrial, mechanical, construction, manufacturing, military, or technical experience.
- Experience working in wastewater treatment, environmental services, industrial equipment, or related industries.
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Fall Protection certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
- Confined Space training or willingness to complete training.
- Experience reading technical drawings, equipment manuals, or operating procedures.
- Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform physical work for extended periods of time.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at elevated locations, and access industrial equipment when properly trained and authorized.
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible schedules when required by customer projects.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Frequent travel to customer facilities, industrial plants, municipal treatment facilities, and construction sites.
- Exposure to industrial equipment, mechanical systems, dust, noise, chemicals, and outdoor environmental conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Operation of company vehicles, tools, testing equipment, and material handling equipment when properly trained and authorized.
- Occasional work during weekends, evenings, or extended hours based on project and customer requirements.

This is a non-exempt position. Compensation is dependent upon skill level. The base salary range for this position is $20.19 to $25.48 per hour. Benefits package and incentives are provided. We generally offer employees working 21 hours per week or more medical, dental, vision, along with voluntary ancillary benefits. The Company has a 401(k) match program and company-paid life and AD&D insurance available for eligible employees.
