Description

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Controller oversees and coordinates all ABX aircraft line-maintenance activities, ensuring prompt, compliant technical support for in-service aircraft and seamless liaison with internal departments and contract agencies.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor status of line maintenance on the entire ABX fleet
  • Expedite troubleshooting and repair actions to minimize aircraft on-ground time
  • Coordinate daily work priorities and task assignments with line representatives and contract agencies
  • Provide real-time technical guidance to maintenance personnel and vendors
  • Interface with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and other teams to meet operational needs
  • Maintain and distribute up-to-date maintenance logs, status boards and performance reports
  • Verify compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures and airworthiness directives
  • Communicate aircraft availability updates to dispatch, flight crews and management
  • Handle ad-hoc requests
  • Other duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has zero supervisory responsibilities.



QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have High School Diploma/GED
  • A&P License
  • 4 years' experience in the maintenance of commercial transport aircraft
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, accept responsibility, make decisions with direct impact on dispatch reliability of ABX fleet


PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • 2 years supervisory/lead experience
  • Experience of aircraft type operated by ABX
  • Commercial airline Maintenance Control experience
  • Experience in Powerplant Avionics and Structures


Bilingual - Spanish speaking preferred
