SOME (So Others Might Eat) provides material aid and comfort to our vulnerable neighbors in Washington, DC, helping them break the cycle of poverty and homelessness through programs and services that save lives, improve lives, and help transform the lives of individuals and families, their communities, and the systems and structures that affect them. Our more than 30 programs throughout the district provide comprehensive services that lead to mental and physical health, continued sobriety, job training, living-wage employment, and affordable housing. We meet immediate needs with food, clothing, and healthcare, and offer the tools one needs to live with hope, dignity, and greater independence. Position Description: The Development Associate provides essential administrative support across SOME's Development and Communications department, reporting to the VP, Development Operations. This role serves as a primary point of contact for the SOME general inbox and development phone line, processes incoming gifts and donor correspondence, and provides financial administration support, including department invoicing and expense reconciliation. The Development Associate also supports donor acknowledgment, special events invoicing, SharePoint and systems organization, and cross-team administrative projects, playing a central role in keeping the department's daily operations running smoothly. Compensation: We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The hourly range for this position is $27.04 .00 to $28.63 and may be commensurate with experience. Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of experience in nonprofit development operations, fundraising support, or related administrative roles. Demonstrated experience working with donor databases/CRMs and reporting tools. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit development operations, fundraising support, or related administrative roles. Demonstrated experience working with donor databases/CRMs and reporting tools, specifically Salesforce and GoFundMePro/Classy platforms. Required License/Certification: N/A Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (40 hours per week); Hybrid Schedule (4 days in office/week & 1 telework day after 90-day introductory period) Expected Contributions: Fundraising
