Service Technician

Reports to: Service Supervisor
Location: Beaumont, TX

At Sentry Equipment, our work helps customers operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. As a Service Technician, you will bring that commitment directly to customer sites by installing, starting up, maintaining, and repairing Sentry equipment.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong electromechanical skills who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and helping customers solve problems. You will also provide preventative maintenance and training while building trusted customer relationships and supporting Sentry's continued growth.

What You'll Do
  • Perform equipment installation, startup, repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, verification, and customer training.
  • Complete electromechanical assembly, complex tube bending, pipe threading and fitting, and electrical and signal wiring.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and isometric drawings to determine connection points and equipment mounting locations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify solutions, make corrections, and clearly explain findings to customers.
  • Use established work instructions and follow required safety and operational procedures.
  • Partner with Service, Product Support, and Sales to deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, service documentation, customer reports, and expense reports.
  • Use HubSpot CRM, Epicor, and Microsoft Office to manage schedules, update information, communicate, and deliver reports.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three years of experience in electromechanical assembly or a service-related field.
  • Strong electromechanical skills, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience using common electronic test equipment and powered and manual hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on industrial catwalks and stairways.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Willingness to participate in random drug screening.
  • TWIC eligibility and OSHA or MSHA credentials may be required based on the assigned region.
