Description and Requirements

Position Summary

The Senior Tax Specialist will support global tax activities including tax provision and forecasting, tax optimization, transfer pricing, tax modeling, and tax systems. This role partners with tax, accounting, finance, legal, IT, and business teams to ensure accurate reporting, effective tax risk management, and compliance with global tax policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Group Tax Provision & Forecasting

  • Support quarterly global tax provision and group tax reporting.
  • Assist with tax forecasting, effective tax rate analysis, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with tax, accounting, and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Help maintain a stable and predictable tax environment through effective provision processes.

Tax Optimization & Risk Management

  • Identify opportunities for tax optimization through provision and compliance activities.
  • Monitor tax positions and business activities for potential tax risks.
  • Support corrective actions and tax-efficient solutions where appropriate.

Tax Model & Controls

  • Assist with the development and implementation of international tax models.
  • Advise business units on tax implications of proposed transactions.
  • Support tax internal controls and tax-related activities for acquisitions and other business developments.

Transfer Pricing

  • Support intercompany transactions, transfer pricing uplifts, and true-up processes.
  • Coordinate with regional tax, legal, treasury, accounting, and finance teams to implement transfer pricing policies.
  • Maintain appropriate intercompany and BEPS documentation to support tax audit defense.
Tax Systems & Process Improvement
  • Identify system and reporting requirements to improve tax processes and data quality.
  • Partner with IT, accounting, and finance teams on tax system development and enhancements.
  • Support automation and process improvements within the tax function.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in corporate tax, tax accounting, international tax, or transfer pricing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with tax provision and/or forecasting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • CPA, Master's in Taxation, JD, or other relevant tax qualification.
  • Experience with ASC 740.
  • Experience in a multinational corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of international tax, transfer pricing, and BEPS requirements.
  • Experience with tax audits, tax modeling, or tax technology.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, restructurings, or other complex business transactions.
