CRM Operations

The Recruitment Correspondence Coordinator supports the planning, execution and maintenance of recruitment communications for the UMKC Office of Admissions. This position works in partnership with the Strategic Student Correspondence Recruitment Manager to implement targeted communications in Slate that support prospective student engagement, inquiry and application generation, yield, event participation and summer melt efforts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Implement Recruitment Communication Campaigns

• Build, test and maintain recruitment communications in Slate.
• Support communication journeys for prospective, applied, admitted and confirmed students.
• Execute segmented and personalized email campaigns.
• Create and update communication content, links, deadlines and campaign materials.
• Design student-centered emails using Slate, HTML and CSS.

2. Support Enrollment Priorities and Strategic Outreach

• Develop communications that promote academic programs, scholarships, new programs and enrollment initiatives.
• Support targeted outreach to purchased names, academic units and priority student populations.
• Highlight UMKC differentiators, including specialty programs, signature opportunities and student support resources.
• Assist with communication efforts that generate student interest, inquiries and applications.

3. Support Events, Portals and Summer Melt Communications

• Create and maintain communications for recruitment, admitted student and yield events.
• Support event registration, reminders and follow-up messaging.
• Assist with portal content and student-facing updates.
• Develop confirmed student communications that encourage next-step completion and reduce summer melt.
• Coordinate messaging related to deadlines, enrollment steps, campus resources and student engagement opportunities.

4. Coordinate Communication Projects

• Manage assigned communication projects from request to completion.
• Organize campaign timelines, content, assets and documentation.
• Collaborate with Admissions staff, recruitment leadership, academic units and campus partners.
• Support timely communication updates related to institutional priorities and recruitment needs.

5. Support Quality Assurance and Performance Tracking

• Review communications for accuracy, formatting, personalization, links and accessibility.
• Test communications before launch to reduce errors and improve student experience.
• Track campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, inquiry activity and application trends.
• Recommend updates based on engagement data and campaign performance.

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as up to $55,000 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
