Current Opportunities MedStar Georgetown University Hospital | Washington, D.C.

Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Practice in the region's only Level IV NICU dedicated to high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. As an academic faculty member, you'll care for critically ill newborns while participating in teaching, research, and quality improvement alongside an ACGME-accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship. Advanced technologies include ECMO, high-frequency ventilation, therapeutic hypothermia, neonatal transport, and comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support.

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center | Baltimore, Maryland

Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Join a collaborative neonatal team in a 23-bed, private-room Level III NICU caring for approximately 280 infants annually. The program consistently achieves neonatal outcomes within the top quartile of participating Vermont Oxford Network centers and is home to Maryland's only fully staffed March of Dimes NICU Family Support Program. Opportunities include quality improvement, teaching, and leadership activities.

MedStar Harbor Hospital | Baltimore, Maryland

Level II Special Care Nursery

Enjoy the autonomy and collegiality of community neonatology in a Magnet-recognized hospital. The 10-bed Level II Special Care Nursery provides specialized care for premature and medically complex newborns while emphasizing family-centered care and close collaboration with obstetric and pediatric teams. J-1 visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Board certified or board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • Completion of an accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship
  • Board certification in Pediatrics
  • Current BLS and NRP certification
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Maryland and/or the District of Columbia, as applicable
