Description and Requirements

The ISG Communications Leader develops and executes a comprehensive communications strategy that supports Lenovo ISG and Lenovo business priorities, transformation goals, AI leadership positioning, and employee engagement. This leader advises senior executives and turns complex business strategies into clear, compelling narratives that build understanding, alignment, and action across internal and external stakeholders. The role operates at significant global scale, supporting a $20B+ business growing more than 25% year over year, a communications engine generating 10B+ impressions annually, and a high-volume portfolio of tier-one market moments and launches.

This role works closely with executive leadership, marketing, HR, public relations, analyst relations, corporate communications and regional communications teams to deliver consistent messaging, strengthen employee engagement, enhance brand reputation, and drive measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications Leadership

  • Create and execute global communications strategies that advance ISG business goals and transformation priorities.
  • Develop clear, compelling narratives for AI, Hybrid AI, infrastructure, services, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Maintain consistent messaging across channels, audiences, and regions.
  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to executive leadership.
  • Lead communications for a $20B+ global business growing 25%+ year over year, translating business scale, momentum, and transformation priorities into clear narratives for internal and external audiences.

Executive Communications

  • Provide communications support for senior executives, including speeches, presentations, town halls, videos, strategic announcements, and executive messaging.
  • Strengthen leadership visibility and advance thought leadership initiatives.
  • Equip leaders for employee-facing and external communication opportunities.
  • Create executive communication plans that build confidence, increase engagement, and reinforce organizational alignment.

Employee Communications & Engagement

  • Oversee the building and managing of employee communication programs that inform, engage, and inspire a global workforce.
  • Oversee development content for all-hands meetings, kickoffs, external engagements, leadership updates, organizational changes, and business milestones.
  • Craft stories that connect employees to strategy, culture, and business results.
  • Support organizational change through targeted communication and engagement plans.

Brand Reputation & External Communications

  • Partner with PR, analyst relations, and marketing teams to strengthen ISG's market presence.
  • Lead development of messaging, talking points, media materials, social content, and executive narratives.
  • Manage communications strategy and execution for 10+ tier-one market moments and launches per year, ensuring message clarity, executive readiness, and integrated market impact.
  • Support reputation management, crisis communications, and issues response.
  • Identify opportunities to position Lenovo as a leader in AI, infrastructure, and innovation.

Communications Planning & Governance

  • Define communications frameworks, messaging architecture, and standards.
  • Coordinate communications across business units, regions, and functions.
  • Manage communications calendars and executive messaging priorities.
  • Align ISG communications with corporate messaging and business priorities.

Measurement & Insights

  • Create communications metrics and dashboards to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Assess engagement trends, employee sentiment, and communication impact.
  • Apply data-driven insights to improve communication strategies and content over time.
  • Use analytics and audience insights to optimize a communications machine that delivers 10B+ impressions per year across priority channels, campaigns, and market moments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of communications experience, including executive communications, employee communications, or corporate communications.
  • Experience supporting senior executives in large, matrixed global organizations.
  • Proven ability to create executive-level messaging and strategic communication plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading communications during business transformation and organizational change.
  • Experience leading and developing a high-performing communications team of approximately 15 professionals across disciplines, regions, or functions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the technology, AI, cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise solutions industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executive communications and leadership storytelling.
  • Experience supporting global employee engagement initiatives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly matrixed environments.
  • Advanced presentation development and executive content creation skills.
