Now Hiring: Prognostics Research Engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI

Pay Rate: $42.31/hour

Schedule: Hybrid position, 4 days per week in the office

Education Requirements


  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field required
  • PhD preferred



Experience Requirements


  • 4+ years of experience applying statistical analysis, machine learning, or predictive modeling techniques
  • 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and cloud-based analytics platforms
  • Experience with C++, MATLAB, Simulink, DSP, sensor processing, embedded controls, and diagnostics systems
  • Knowledge of machine learning, causal inference, PCA, ANOVA, clustering, neural networks, and time-series analytics preferred
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills



Job Duties


  • Develop and deploy predictive maintenance and prognostic models
  • Design Remaining Useful Life (RUL) and fault detection algorithms
  • Build machine learning and physics-based hybrid models
  • Analyze large-scale telemetry and sensor data using Python, SQL, and cloud tools
  • Support signal processing and multi-sensor diagnostic systems
  • Translate algorithms into optimized C++ code for embedded systems
  • Validate solutions through simulation, testing, and production implementation
  • Collaborate with engineering and subject matter experts across multiple disciplines
