Loan Support Specialist - Construction Draw

About The Role

We are searching for a Loan Support Specialist with a focus on the Construction Draw process to join our Loan Operations team!

This position has a strong focus on the construction draw process, along with loan data, accounting, and document imaging. This includes data entry and verification, exception reporting and cleanup, specialty loan tracking, and research. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes construction loan draws and ensures the draw process complies with the Bank's policies and procedures. This includes loan balancing, preparation of construction draw checks and disbursements to vendors and suppliers, as well as imaging of complete draw package after funding
  • Coordinates property inspections with in-house and third party inspectors, along with submitting invoices for payment
  • Performs IRS verification for all new vendors and supplier's W-9's,
    • Create and input for new vendors or suppliers into Silverlake
  • Prints the LIP vendor report on the next business day after vendor creation
  • Utilizes the BUILT platform for draws, sets up new loans and adjusts loan status when payoff quotes are requested
  • Customer service and resolution of problems with all types of loans and assists with department emails
  • Online entry of payments, loan transfers, and setting up auto-payments
  • Prepares Daily Reports when necessary
  • Develops a general understanding of all functions related to Loan Operations and its role to the Bank
  • Paid Files - processes paid files, mails letters to customers and releases collateral
  • Document Imaging - images all loan files, financial data, and other documents relative to loan relationship
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all Images scanned into the Synergy system
  • Providing backup support for the Consumer Lending department in underwriting process and procedures, or as needed

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers.
  • Represent FCBU in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive "can-do" attitude, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all required compliance and security training implemented by GBCI and FCBU.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
  • Adhere and support the FCBU Values & Purpose
  • Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect towards external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Professionally answer phones within a timely manner, greeting all customers, learning their names, discussing reasonable solutions by having a solid understanding of bank products and services, demonstrating leadership to resolve customer issues and provide relevant assistance while being courteous and respectful.
  • Attends and participates in weekly or bi-weekly One-on-Ones, as well as meeting and trainings as required. Promote behaviors to support and track Key Performance Indicators
  • Additional duties as requested or assigned

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months of banking experience - Loan Operations experience preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
