What You'll Be Doing Pulling and routing copper and fiber optic cabling Installing cable trays, conduit, wireway systems, and support structures Building telecommunications closets and equipment rooms Mounting racks, patch panels, backboards, and hardware Performing Cat5e/Cat6 terminations and punch-downs Assisting with fiber optic installations Reading blueprints, diagrams, and project documentation Working both indoors and outdoors on large-scale data center construction projects Using industry-standard hand and power tools safely and effectively * * What We're Looking For Required Qualifications At least 1 year of commercial cabling experience Experience pulling fiber optic cable Reliable transportation to the worksite Ability to work in a construction environment Understanding of telecommunications color codes Ability to interpret blueprints and construction drawings Comfortable using cable cutters, drills, and other installation tools * * Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Network equipment installation experience Cat6 termination experience Rack and stack experience Fiber optic knowledge Structured cabling * * Why Join IES Communications? Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
