Provides leadership in the evaluation of strategic objectives, formulation of strategic direction, and influences decision making based on assessment of business trends and data analytics. Essential Functions
Job Details: As our digital sales organization has scaled across multiple products, systems, and stakeholders, we see a significant opportunity to unify and streamline our sales processes - accelerating deal cycles and elevating the customer experience. A dedicated Business Strategy Principal is needed to map, diagnose, and systematically fix these inefficiencies - with an estimated opportunity to reduce deal cycles by 30-45 days and materially improve conversion and retention outcomes. Job Responsibilities: We are looking for a strategic problem-solver with 7+ years of experience in sales process optimization, business operations, or commercial strategy - ideally within a complex, multi-product or enterprise environment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of mapping end-to-end sales processes, diagnosing friction points across pre-sales and post-sales workflows, and translating that diagnosis into prioritized, high-impact improvements. You are comfortable working across fragmented systems and tools, can engage credibly with legal, finance, and third-party stakeholders, and distinguish durable fixes from short-term workarounds. Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), pricing or approval workflows, and cross-functional program management is strongly preferred. Most importantly, you think in outcomes - reducing deal cycle times, protecting revenue at risk, and building processes that scale. Additional job functions: *Maps and diagnoses end-to-end sales processes across pre-sales and post-sales workflows, identifying friction points that extend deal cycles and delay time to revenue. *Drives cross-functional adoption of prioritized process improvements across pricing, legal, finance, and sales stakeholders without direct authority over those functions, and defines the KPIs used to measure impact. Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative business field or closely related technical specialized field of study. Minimum Experience Seven (7) years related work experience. Work experience in functions focused on strategy development, competitive, customer, and industry analysis, market research, analysis of product performance, and support of corporate development/strategic value assessment activities. Experience of supporting strategic assessments that are transformational in nature. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master's Degree equals two (2) years experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated business acumen including understanding the impact of technology trends on business. Strong communication and presentation skills, problem structuring and problem solving skills. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience in databases, business intelligence (BI) tools, MS Office products and data modeling. Strong human relations skills. Preferred Qualifications: This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories, however if you live within the 50 miles radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week.
