What you'll be doing...

This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and performance of commercial operations execution of transactions such as commissions, incentives, perks, products, and other billing methods. You will partner cross functionally with various commercial, base, and operational teams to ensure the effectiveness of business performance and profitability across all Verizon Value Brands. You'll work closely with internal and external partners to update contracts, evolve and enhance our portfolio of offerings, and incentivize sales for optimum performance. You will lead projects and people that develop and perform complex analyses to drive business decisions.. You'll be constantly on the lookout for new modeling techniques, evolving technologies, and emerging industry trends so that we can stay ahead of the game. Your work directly reading feedback from our customers will help us meet our customers' needs and make it even easier for them to do business with us.

  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Performing analyses to find actionable insights related to commercial performance.

  • Conducting and guiding others through system usage assessments.

  • Ensuring data quality and promoting process improvement, and automation.

  • Translating customer insights into quantified business value, enabling data drive prioritization of initiatives and investments.

  • Leveraging relevant technology tools to support executive level storytelling and decision making.

What we're looking for...

Developing resolutions to complex problems, using your sharp judgment to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria allows you to deliver solutions that make a huge impact. You're able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and you take pride in your ability to share your considerable knowledge with your peers.

* Demonstrate critical thinking skills and inspire curiosity across the team to expand their knowledge of the business, industry, and technology trends so they can put findings and insights into the optimal context.

*Have experience leading operational end-to-end process that has high transactional values, and requires constant testing/oversight based on upstream commercial launches.

* Understand how data is staged and connected; and how it flows through our various data and reporting environments.

* Use their excellent communication skills to effectively present complex results to multiple stakeholders in concise and easy-to-understand data-driven narratives.

* Drive proactive ideation amongst the team to remain relevant by bringing value and having a positive impact on the business.

* Be comfortable collaborating with a team of professionals with varying skill levels and experience.

* Support key projects (or major workstreams) tied to strategic initiatives, end-to-end processes, data governance, and self-serve enablement.

* Advocate, when applicable, for the integration of enablement of self-serve by leveraging the awareness and adoption of digital tools.

* Promote new solutions and drive adoption of AI-based solutions in support of prescriptive analytics through robust communications and partnerships.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in Microsoft and/or Google Suites of products, e.g. PowerPoint, Slides, Excel, Sheets, etc.

  • Ability to define analytical frameworks, analyze complex data sets, and deliver analyses that highlight relevant, actionable insights.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Degree in business intelligence and analytics, computer science, or mathematics.

  • Master's degree.

  • Experience with visualization tools, like Looker or Qlik.

  • Experience with Data Warehousing or Teradata SQL.

  • Knowledge of AI tools such as Claude or Co-Pilot.

  • Proven visualization/storyboarding skills to present insights and recommendation.

  • Strong communication skills that enable you to be effective in spurring discussions, influencing decisions, and setting expectations across various functional teams; and across all levels within an organization.

  • Able to manage multiple complex projects across the team;

    and to deliver against key deliverables and timelines.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $104,500.00 - $201,000.00. The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $115,000.00 - $201,000.00.
