• Join a dynamic group of 6 infectious diseases specialists and 1 APP
• The majority of time will be dedicated to Hospital Epidemiology (approximately 75%), as the leadHospital Medical Epidemiologist with remaining time divided between inpatient and outpatient clinical service. At least 5-years of experience in Hospital Epidemiology is strongly preferred
• Clinical research opportunities abound and are encouraged, and research infrastructure exists within the Department
• The hospital is located on campus - Work out of one location
• Transplant infectious diseases exposure is preferred but not required

DUTIES

• Will serve as the chief hospital epidemiologist and co-chair the infection control committee. Will liaison with infection prevention team and leadership to oversee the infection control program at Duarte campus and satellite sites. The charter will be shared during the interview process.
• Clinical time is divided between inpatient and outpatient services

Position Benefits:

• Basesalary range: $210k - $256k*The salary range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment anddoes not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

• Active or eligible for California medical license
• ABIM board certification in Infectious Disease
• Strong communication skills
• Experienced in leading policy and protocol development and implementation for hospital epidemiology and infection prevention and control with a special focus on cancer patients
• Experience in transplant infectious disease - program that is heavily focused toward immunocompromised host infections (hematologic malignancy/ HCT)
• 1-2 years working within hematologic malignancies*preferred but not required
