We are searching for a talented Manager-Laboratory Outreach Services The Manager, Laboratory Outpatient Services provides strategic and operational leadership for Southcoast Health's outpatient laboratory network, ensuring exceptional patient, provider, and customer service across a complex, multi-site healthcare environment. This position oversees more than 20 Laboratory Patient Service Centers, 3 Health Centers, Mobile Laboratory Services, a Laboratory Call Center, and outreach laboratory services supporting skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation hospitals throughout the region. Leading approximately 70 employees through three direct-report Team Leaders, the Manager is responsible for developing and executing operational strategies that promote service excellence, quality, regulatory compliance, workforce engagement, fiscal stewardship, and sustainable growth. This role ensures the efficient delivery of provider-directed laboratory testing services while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience, access, and operational performance. As a key operational leader, the Manager collaborates closely with Southcoast Physicians Group practice management, medical providers, health center leadership, hospital departments, community partners, and laboratory leadership to optimize service delivery, strengthen provider relationships, and identify opportunities for expansion of outpatient laboratory services across the Southcoast Health system. The ideal candidate is an experienced laboratory operations leader with demonstrated success managing large, geographically dispersed teams within a multi-site outpatient setting. They possess strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive process improvement, operational efficiency, employee development, and service line growth while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care. Under direction of the Director, Laboratory Outreach or designee, perform diversified duties both within and in support of all Outreach Laboratory Services. Provide leadership to staff, coordinate and oversee daily work processes, operations, department manpower scheduling, fiscal responsibilities, performance improvement and outcomes. Ensure compliance with SHG and external regulatory agency policies, procedures and requirements. Serve as a role model and a resource to assigned staff. Provide support and promote high practice standards, collaboration and teamwork. A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, a health care discipline or the equivalent education and experience is required. A Masters Degree or Leadership training is preferred. Five (5) years of related experience including a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field of outpatient and provider centered laboratory services is required. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
