DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the processing of driver and vehicle applications by reviewing forms, resolving discrepancies, and assisting messengers with questions. Your dedicated efforts will help to ensure for the accuracy of state records in addition to providing guidance to customers who need support. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Application Review: Examine motor vehicle and driver license applications and identify discrepancies
- Record Correction: Determine needed documents and process corrected records to ensure accuracy
- Messenger Assistance: Explain Motor Vehicle Code requirements and answer questions about complex applications
- Data Entry: Enter information for license and vehicle transactions while ensuring completeness and quality
- Customer Support: Provide counter service, respond to inquiries, and communicate instructions clearly
- Error Identification: Alert management to processing problems and recommend training needs

- Full-time employment, 40 hours/week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
