EPI Power is seeking experienced Welders/Fabricators to join our newly opened, state-of-the-art pre-fabrication shop in Des Moines, IA. This role is an essential part of our team, helping build high-quality electrical components for commercial and data center projects. What You'll Do

Welding & Fabrication

• Perform MIG welding on various steel and metal components in accordance with AWS standards (TIG experience is a plus).
• Assemble welded parts and components according to project specifications.
• Ensure weld quality meets company and project requirements.

Blueprint & Technical Work

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Verify finished work meets quality standards and specifications.

Shop Operations

• Safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Occasionally operate a forklift to move materials and components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Teamwork & Support

• Assist with additional fabrication shop duties as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Experience

• Minimum 2-5 years of welding experience required.
• MIG welding experience required; TIG welding experience preferred.
• AWS certification required and ability to successfully pass a weld test.
• Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills

• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Familiarity with welding tools, fabrication equipment, and shop safety procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive, hands-on tasks.
• Manual dexterity required to operate welding and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and work in various positions throughout the workday.
