About the Job

Position Summary
This one-year, 40 hours/week, position is a member of the Catalog & Curriculum Management area focused on uAchieve Planner implementation support and operational backfill. This may include requirements gathering and documentation, data validation, and testing as well as uAchieve application support and issue resolution. Knowledge of the University's academic programs, policies, and systems, and understanding of the complexities of the degree audit, is applied to advance the University's student degree progress initiatives. This position works with a team of analysts and interacts with collegiate and system campus partners as well as partner units in the Office of Admissions and Office of Undergraduate Education.

Academic Support Resources supports hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Work arrangements are determined in coordination with supervisors depending on the nature of the unit and position. The arrangement for this position will be determined upon hire between employee and supervisor. Applicants must reside within the state of Minnesota or live within a commutable distance from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position. This is a 100%-time, 40 hour/week salaried position.

Functions
Implementation Support for uAchieve Planner (60%)

  • Consult with advising staff, academic departments, the Office of Undergraduate Education to collect, examine, and record degree maps. Ensure alignment between the uAchieve Planner, degree audit, and the University catalog.
  • Create and perform testing to confirm degree progression logic in the Planner. Maintain quality control by identifying and reporting conflicts in curricula, academic policies, and procedures.
  • Confirm that automated term-by-term pathways correctly manage curriculum updates, applied waivers or exceptions, prerequisites, and course availability.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of degree audit complexities to support the creation of precise academic plans, ensuring they adhere to institutional regulations and support initiatives for student progress.

Operational Support & Backfill (40%)

  • Triage and address degree audit system support requests via a shared ticketing system (TDX).
  • Serve on campus uAchieve encoders team in supporting all campuses degree audit encoding.
  • Understand the relationships of curriculum systems, including PeopleSoft, Coursedog, Transferology, and uAchieve. Work with ASR units to ensure accuracy and consistency of the data within systems.
  • Assist with technical upgrades, ongoing maintenance and the continuous improvement of uAchieve and degree audits.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least two years of professional, relevant experience or a Master's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a student information system (PeopleSoft preferred).
  • Experience with a degree audit system (uAchieve preferred).
  • Experience with a catalog & curriculum management system.
  • Experience with maintaining student records and interpreting policies.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to diagnose technical problems and problem solve.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $75,000 - $78,000 annually, depending on education/qualifications/experience
