Maintenance Technician - JLLWhat this job involves: As a Maintenance Technician at JLL, you will be the hands-on expert ensuring our commercial office facilities operate smoothly and safely. This role combines technical skill with proactive problem-solving as you perform general maintenance, inspect facilities, and address repairs across multiple building systems. You'll work independently while collaborating with team members and contractors to maintain high-quality standards in painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. What your day-to-day will look like: * Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and proactively address issues before they escalate, ensuring optimal building performance and tenant satisfaction * Perform general maintenance and repairs including painting, patching, carpentry, tile work, and fixture replacement while maintaining quality standards and attention to detail * Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders through CMMS, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion and operational continuity * Maintain and operate hand and power tools safely and effectively, managing tool inventory and equipment storage to support efficient maintenance operations * Apply working knowledge of building HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical systems to perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs while ensuring compliance with safety codes * Collaborate with team members and third-party contractors to complete facility improvement projects, coordinating activities and communicating project status to management * Document all maintenance activities accurately in CMMS and maintain records of equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, NFPA, ADA, and NEC codes Required Qualifications: * Proven experience as a handyman, carpenter, or painter with demonstrated multi-trade competency in commercial office environments * Strong technical proficiency with hand and power tools, including ability to perform maintenance tasks safely and efficiently across diverse repair challenges * Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical systems with understanding of related maintenance best practices * Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) for work order processing and maintenance documentation * Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail with ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities * Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions, with availability for call-in work and emergency response * Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in specific trades such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems * Working knowledge of NFPA, ADA, and NEC codes for regulatory compliance in facility maintenance * Experience with building automation systems, controls, and energy management practices * Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance or corporate office environments * Familiarity with sustainability practices and green building maintenance standards Location: Coopersburg, PA This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
