GENERAL FUNCTION

This role is responsible for defining and executing an integrated trade media and industry relations strategy that strengthens EssilorLuxottica's leadership position across the optical ecosystem. The sr. manager will drive awareness, consideration, and adoption of our portfolio spanning lenses, frames, instruments, and med-tech through impactful storytelling, innovative media approaches, and strategic partnerships.

The role will build and lead strong relationships with key media, industry organizations, and event partners to co-create high-value platforms, amplify key moments, and unlock audience and market insights. As a key advisor to marketing and commercial stakeholders, this role ensures cohesive, differentiated, and customer-centric narratives across all trade communications while elevating the company's industry voice and influence.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and execute a trade advertising strategy for brands, products, programs, and services to build awareness, strengthen brand affinity, drive consideration, and elevate industry positioning.
  • Partner with marketing teams and subject matter experts to develop compelling industry communications grounded in product, brand, and program value propositions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and implement trade advertising and communication strategies that maximize campaign impact.
  • Advise stakeholders on the development of channel appropriate marketing materials, including advertisements, advertorials, EDMs, and sponsored social content.
  • Drive industry thought leadership through editorial strategy, executive visibility, and positioning EssilorLuxottica as a leader in vision care innovation.
  • Build strategic partnerships with trade publishers, event organizers, and industry associations to expand reach and amplify brand impact.
  • Partner with events and experiential marketing teams to extend the impact of trade shows, summits, launches, and other key initiatives through integrated media strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging media opportunities to inform partner strategies and enhance brand presence.
  • Manage media partner relationships and annual media plans to maximize value and performance.
  • Ensure timely execution of trade media plans through stakeholder alignment, planning discussions, and deadline management.
  • Manage the trade media budget, including purchase orders, invoices, vendor relationships, forecasting, reconciliation, and budget reporting.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, multiple projects, and cross functional stakeholders in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills, including communications ROI analysis.
  • Ability to navigate organizational complexity and manage agencies, content creators, and multiple communication channels.
  • Customer focused with strong attention to detail.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience developing and executing trade media strategies within consumer products, healthcare, retail, or related industries.
  • Experience managing agency and media partner relationships.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
