JOB SUMMARY

The Transportation & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing all transportation activities related to rental and sales equipment across the company. This role focuses on securing the most cost-effective freight solutions, coordinating equipment transfers, ensuring accurate billing, maximizing freight recovery from customers, and improving transportation efficiency.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities



* Coordinate all inbound and outbound transportation for rental and sales equipment.

* Schedule equipment deliveries, pickups, and branch transfers.

* Manage relationships with carriers, brokers, and transportation vendors.

* Obtain competitive freight quotes and negotiate rates.

* Coordinate transfers between company locations.

* Ensure all equipment movements are documented and authorized.

* Verify equipment readiness before shipment.

* Ensure all freight charges are properly coded and billed.

* Review transportation invoices for accuracy.

* Maximize recovery of customer-billable freight expenses.

* Develop and maintain transportation KPIs and reporting.

* Identify and implement process improvements.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS



  • 3+ years of transportation, logistics, fleet management, rental, or construction equipment experience.
  • Experience negotiating freight rates and managing transportation vendors.


  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and cost-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills


  • Strong attention to details and diligent follow-through
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
