OUC - The Reliable One, is presently seeking a Web & Digital Media Specialist to join the Marketing & New Products division. At OUC, we don't just work - we're building a bright future of innovation and transformation for future generations.

We are looking for a creative, detailoriented digital media professional to support the daytoday maintenance and updates of OUC's digital channels. In this role, you will update and manage content across OUC.com, OUC360, internal sites, and customer email communications to ensure timely, accurate, and onbrand digital experiences. You will work within a ticketing workflow to complete routine web updates, digital asset changes, customer alerts, and data management tasks while supporting the Marketing business unit's digital needs.

As a key member of the Digital & Marketing team, you will help ensure that web content, emails, and digital media align with brand standards and user needs. You will assist in creating custom webpages and digital elements, design digital media assets, support email deployments, update analytics dashboards, and help maintain the customer email database. This role also supports urgent or highpriority digital communications during storms or outages. You will collaborate with internal departments and work closely with the Senior Web & Digital Media Specialist to keep all digital channels functioning effectively.

This position follows a 40 hour hybrid schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in the office and Monday and Friday remote. It also includes occasional planned after hours support, approximately six times a year.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in web content management, digital media production, or digital communications
  • Experience creating, writing, editing, proofreading, scheduling, and designing digital content and assets-including graphics, video, audio, banners, and interactive elements
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing principles, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms (WordPress preferred), email platforms, Google Analytics/Looker Studio/Search Console, and marketing automation/CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and test/dev/prod environments, UI/UX and accessibility principles, SEO and performance metrics, website optimization tools, broadcast/alert systems, and AI tools for digital content creation
  • Ability to interpret analytics, communicate clearly, create user friendly digital content, collaborate effectively, and stay organized and proactive while managing multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule (40 hours/week) with onsite presence Tuesday-Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday, along with willingness and ability to provide planned afterhours support approximately six times per year.

Salary Range: $70,172 - $87,716 annually - commensurate with experience

Job Purpose:

Assist with the development, updates and maintenance of internal and external digital channels and content for the Commission, including website content, email communications, digital media assets and other digital support for the Marketing business unit. Coordinate day-to-day digital implementation, including content updates, customer alerts and routine data management to ensure timely, accurate and onbrand digital experiences.

Primary Functions:

  • Maintain and update content across internal (intranet) and external websites; including routine content changes and digital asset updates.
  • Support marketing campaigns by ensuring web content, emails and digital media align with brand standards and user needs.
  • Assist in creating custom webpages, tools and widgets to support campaigns, initiatives, and business unit needs.
  • Build and schedule customer email communication, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment and adherence to best practices.
  • Support customer broadcast alerts (SMS, voice and email) by packaging and deploying communications as directed.
  • Maintain and support the customer email database, including routine data management and list updates.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill digital requests and ensure proper functionality of digital channels.
  • Design a wide variety of digital media including e-newsletters, social media content, digital documents, digital forms, banners, and interactive elements.
  • Support web deployments by posting content and monitoring site activity under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Provide analytics support by updating dashboard data, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining usability.
  • Support urgent or high-priority digital communications during events such as storms or outages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of, but not limited to, the following:
  • Digital marketing principles
  • Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator)
  • Content management systems (i.e. WordPress, Axero, SharePoint)
  • Email marketing and customer communication platforms (Constant Contact or similar)
  • Google Suite of tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Search Console)
  • Marketing Automation & CRM Platforms (SharpSpring and/or Salesforce is preferred)
  • Familiarity with, but not limited to the following:
  • Project management tools
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web environments (test/dev/prod)
  • Digital media trends and UI/UX principles
  • Web accessibility standards and responsive design best practices
  • SEO fundamentals and digital performance metrics
  • Website optimization tools (i.e. Siteimprove or similar)
  • Broadcast/alert systems (SMS/voice tools)
  • Understand consent + opt-out basics for customer communications
  • AI tools and emerging technologies for digital content creation, optimization, personalization and analytics
  • Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws
  • Ability to:

  • Use Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.).

Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or directly related field of study from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be substitutable.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in web content management, digital media production, or related digital communications work to include:
  • Experience writing, editing, proofreading, and scheduling digital content, designing and editing digital assets such as video, audio and interactive graphics.
  • Experience translating complex, technical concepts into easy-to-understand and compelling visuals (preferred)
  • Experience supporting digital marketing strategy, email platforms, and basic frontend web technologies (preferred)
  • Experience with AI tools and emerging technologies for digital content creation, optimization, personalization and analytics (preferred).
