Valiant is seeking skilled Ukrainian Linguist Site Lead to provide interpretation and translation services to support ongoing and new U.S. operations and mission requirements in Mesa, AZ. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Temporary Duty for approximately 6 months. in Mesa AZ. Serve as Lead Linguist for the mission. Conduct accurate and consecutive translation and interpretation from Ukrainian into English and vice versa. Translate various syntax and expressions to include colloquial and slang phrases from English Ukrainian and vice versa. Provide advice on the cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, and documents. Accurately scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents. Coordinate linguist schedules, tasks and evaluations to maintain mission readiness. Lead point of contact for the Other related tasks as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience as Site Lead for a linguist program. Must have a proficiency in Ukrainian and English speaking and writing Level 3/3 of Common European Framework (CEF), Native proficiency preferred Extensive knowledge of Ukrainian culture with previous work in the region, Native familiarity preferred Experience interpreting and translating Ukrainian into English. Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in standard dialect and vocabulary, rarely requiring the need for paraphrasing or explanation. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Aircraft maintenance terminology translation desirable. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
