Comprising brilliant engineers and visionaries, the team designs and develops advanced AI inference chips tailored to accelerate Tesla's machine learning capabilities. A key part of this effort is Dojo, Tesla's custom supercomputer system built to efficiently train massive neural networks on vast video data from the fleet. The work of Tesla's AI Hardware team powers the neural networks behind Full Self-Driving (FSD), and Tesla humanoid robot, Optimus, pushing the boundaries of computational efficiency and performance. By creating custom silicon and optimized architectures, the team ensures Tesla remains a leader in AI-driven automotive and energy solutions, shaping a future where intelligent machines enhance human life.

The Technical Program Manager plays a pivotal role in Tesla's AI Hardware silicon engineering development team, managing end-to-end cross-functional projects throughout the silicon development cycle. This position requires strong leadership in advancing silicon products for high-density compute applications, encompassing
componentdesign, design verification, DFT (Design for Test), physical design, physical verification, integration, bring-up, post-silicon validation and experience,scheduling, test/validation strategies, change management, supply chain operations. Given the fast-paced evolution of the AI Hardware initiative, the TPM is essential in guiding teams toward efficient and successful outcomes.


What You'll Do
  • Lead silicon product development for high-density compute, overseeing key areas includingcomponentdesign, system integration, scheduling, engineering builds, test and validation planning, change management, supply chain coordination, and production ramp-up
  • Drive cross-functional teams to success in the rapidly iterating AI Hardware project, ensuring agile execution andtimelydelivery of milestones

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of industry work experience in VLSI/IC design and Minimum of 5+ years of experience in product or program management, operations, or a related field, with a strong focus on process improvement and operationalization
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve program goals
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to energy storage and grid-scale projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex information and make data-driven decisions

    Expected Compensation
    $128,000 - $312,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
