Genesis10 is currently seeking a Program / Project Manager for a hybrid contract opportunity with a Major Financial Services Firm located in New York, NY. This role will drive delivery for an AI POD, sitting at the intersection of infrastructure, AI platforms, and enterprise technology. The ideal candidate will support the rapid growth of AI initiatives, helping to shape and refine processes to scale capabilities while ensuring strong governance and operational excellence. This is a new position created to support the rapid growth of AI initiatives while ensuring strong governance, documentation, and delivery rigor. Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Coordinate and manage AI and infrastructure initiatives across multiple workstreams within the AI POD, ensuring alignment with broader technology and business objectives
- Cross Project Coordination: Track and manage activities across multiple AI initiatives that may span several projects, teams, and business lines
- Firm Wide Initiative Tracking: Support visibility and coordination for AI initiatives that run across the firm, helping ensure alignment, dependency management, and consistent reporting
- Delivery Management: Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across projects. Drive execution to ensure initiatives remain on schedule and issues are addressed quickly
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present clear program updates and materials to senior stakeholders, technology leadership, and partner teams
- Documentation & Process Discipline: Maintain high-quality documentation including project plans, operating procedures, status reports, governance artifacts, and decision logs
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks, drive mitigation strategies, and ensure open items are resolved in a timely manner
- Cross Functional Coordination: Partner closely with infrastructure engineers, AI/ML teams, data teams, security, architecture groups, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across delivery efforts
- Process Evolution: Help assess and refine existing delivery and governance processes as the firm builds out its AI operating model. Support faster execution while maintaining security, compliance, and best practices
- Change Adaptability: Operate effectively in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift as new opportunities and requirements emerge
- Facilitation: Lead working sessions, program reviews, and decision forums to keep initiatives moving forward and unblock teams
- Program Visibility & Reporting: Provide structured reporting and clear communication of progress, dependencies, cross team impacts, and operational metrics
Requirements:
- Approximately 10+ years of program or project management experience within financial technology or enterprise technology environments
- Experience supporting infrastructure, platform engineering, data, or AI-related technology programs
- Proven ability to manage complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders, teams, and business lines
- Strong documentation, organization, and process management skills
- Experience presenting program status, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Ability to operate in fast-moving environments and adjust to changing priorities without losing momentum
- Comfortable facilitating discussions, driving decisions, and ensuring accountability across teams
- Strong understanding of enterprise governance, security standards, and technology controls
Desired skills:
- Exposure to AI / ML platforms, data infrastructure, or emerging AI technology initiatives
- Experience working in cloud and modern infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with agile, hybrid, or evolving delivery models
- Experience helping organizations refine operating models or delivery frameworks during periods of technological change
- Collaborative and team-oriented with a strong sense of collegiality
- Calm and pragmatic under pressure; able to adapt as priorities evolve
- Comfortable working with highly technical teams and respectful of engineering realities and build requirements
- Strong communicator who can drive resolution on issues while maintaining positive working relationships
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality deliverables
