| Position Summary |
The Support Services Coordinator is responsible primarily for coordinating and assisting in setting-up, and clean-up of all classroom/course functions. This position requires heavy lifting, pushing and pulling of tables, chairs, and furniture. They must maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of various types of set-up, facility amenities, policies, as well as special events. They must be able to provide general facilities information to guests and resolve guest issues promptly. They must maintain a strong attention to detail, a constant awareness of safety issues, and a commitment to customer services. This position will also serve as backup to general facilities duties at the Knapp-Sanders building.
The position will be responsible for asset management. This responsibility will include planning to acquire, operate, maintain, renew, and retire assets; will maximum return on assets and asset utilization. Assess all assets utilized by both the School of Government and
SOG Services.
This position will define and determine a maintenance and replacement schedules for all of
SOG and
SOG Services assets. Research a facility management software program that allows a set up recurring notification schedule, so a reminder is sent whenever a planned maintenance task is approaching. This position is essential in implementing a facility's maintenance and replacement schedules as this schedule is used to forecast the budget for planning. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
| Management Preferences |
Facilities experience preferred. |

| Special Physical/Mental Requirements |
This position requires heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of tables, chairs, and furniture. Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. |
