TITLE: QC Technician A



POSITION OBJECTIVE: Monitoring the production process to ensure products meet quality standards. As a Quality Assurance Technician, your responsibilities would include examining products for defects, conducting tests, and analyzing data to ensure products meet quality requirements. You may also be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, training staff on quality standards, and reporting any issues to management. A successful Quality Assurance Technician should be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work well in a team environment. Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred, along with knowledge of quality control principles and testing equipment.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • College/University Degree preferred
  • Preferred applicable experience working in a laboratory or testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, etc.) and computer-based training software.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Inspect and test products or materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Record inspection and test data and communicate findings to other departmental teams.
  • Perform visual inspections, measurements, and other quality control checks as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and troubleshoot quality issues before and during manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
  • Document and report all non-conformance issues and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and suggest improvements to quality control procedures and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure corrective actions have been implemented and maintained.
  • Audit and monitor suppliers to ensure their products meet quality standards.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain all Quality Assurance documents within the Quality Management System, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Perform heavy data entry related to quality assurance processes and maintain accurate records of quality metrics and compliance documentation.
  • Coordination of reviews and audits: Schedule and coordinate document control reviews and audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available.
  • Support quality processes: Assist in the implementation of Corrective/Prevention (CAPA) procedures, Non-conformance reports, and general quality assurance administration tasks.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently.
  • Possess basic organizational skills and be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to make decisions based on company policies and procedures.
  • Working closely with the quality assurance team to understand the company's quality control systems and guidelines
  • Collaborate with various teams (Production/QA) to address quality issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by Quality Coordinator or Management
