CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electric Distribution Engineer to join our Electric Distribution Team, working remotely from McAllen, TX; Houston, TX; or Longview, TX. In this role, you will contribute to the planning and design of electric distribution infrastructure while building a strong technical foundation and growing your career in a supportive, team-driven environment-with the opportunity to make a lasting impact on how power is delivered across our communities.



What You'll Do:

    Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for electric distribution infrastructure including overhead and underground systems
  • Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates for grid resiliency and energy transition projects
  • Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing energy delivery
  • Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of electric distribution systems


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework is preferred
  • Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
  • Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary Range:

$72,000 - $75,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
