ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

An internship within Product Development Engineering team is an exciting opportunity to be involved in projects related to the design & delivery of Satellite based products and services. Based in the SES Betzdorf facility, you will be at the center of an innovative global organization operating in a unique and fast paced industry.

The intern will be assigned to work on key projects that will have a meaningful impact on the delivery & operation of SES' Services. Projects will be centered around meoSphere requirements capture, traceability, support stakeholder ownership and progress tracking/compliance in support of Vertical stakeholder feedback.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Collaborate with Product Development Engineering team to finalise Vertical stakeholder requirements capture and establish tracking linked to meoSphere program - for both Vertical specific and X-Vertical requirements
  • Ensure linkage with Future Product Concepts (FPCs) for meoSphere on a per Vertical basis - collaborate with Vertical and PDE stakeholders to elaborate FPC definition into formal Product definitions
  • Enable requirements synchronization, traceability and compliance tracking in support of Vertical stakeholder updates
  • Establish reporting / visualization of development progress/compliance against stakeholder requirements

  • Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to clearly articulate objectives to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrate a detail focused approach to capturing and framing information, with the ability to interpret requirements, identify relationships/connections, segment into select themes

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled on a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Data Science.
  • An interest and ideally experience in Satellite & Telecommunication Systems
  • Internet & Experience in automation
  • Knowledge & Experience of Software Development & Databases - e.g Python/SQL
  • Kowledge & Experience of Microsoft Power Suite - e.g PowerBI & Power Automate
  • Knowledge & Experience of Microsoft Azure
  • Analytical skills to reach conclusions based on understanding data and metrics,
  • Able to work independently with high level objectives
  • Highly motivated and ability to set priorities and to work under tight deadlines towards a long-term objective
  • High level of documentation skills.

  • Work with cross discipline teams (satellite experts, sales, business experts, etc.)
  • Work on an iterative basis with stakeholders during design and prototyping

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to deadlines and willingness to meet tight development schedules
  • Fluent in English, other languages are beneficial
