Shield HealthCare is looking for a Revenue Cycle Manager to manage and direct all personnel, workflow, and activities of the department. Responsible for departmental results, effectively managing accounts receivable, and achieving positive financial outcomes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Address revenue cycle challenges to meet the cash flow needs of the company, looking for ways to solve payer rejections, denials, and underpayments
- Establish positive relationships with third-party payers and clearing houses to resolve billing issues
- Oversee cash application process, ensuring that all payments and denials are posted in a timely manner
- Complete, monitor, and analyze company write-offs
- Ensures that company policies, procedures, and compliance restrictions are adhered to
- Oversee implementation of departmental policies and procedures
- Manage and monitor department workflow, prioritizing projects as needed
- Evaluate department processes for efficiency, accuracy, and quality
- Manage departmental budget
- Development of short and long-term goals for the department aligned to the organization's strategy
- Create and analyze reporting on key metrics and productivity
- Collaborate with management and staff from across the organization to solve problems and improve internal efficiencies
- Handle multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines, ensuring appropriate follow-up and closure
- Coaches, mentors, and develop team
- Conducts performance reviews
- Handles corrective action and accountability
- Participates in interviews and the selection of candidates
- Supports team engagement and retention
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Healthcare Administration preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in a management role within finance, claims management, or medical billing preferred
- Familiarity with various medical insurance payer guidelines/billing requirements is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to make appropriate decisions/judgment calls
