SUMMARY The Finance Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to the assigned sales organization, delivering actionable insights and fact-based recommendations aligned with P&L objectives. This role requires the ability to evaluate business conditions, translate financial drivers, and clearly communicate risks and opportunities in a timely manner. Responsibilities span multiple financial disciplines, including FP&A, trade optimization, cost center management, and initiatives to improve customer profitability. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong agility and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned): Sales Finance Business Partner Responsibilities
- Commercial Finance Leadership: Serve as the lead finance partner to assigned sales teams, supporting revenue growth through forecast reviews, financial accuracy checks, and financial guidance on customer negotiations and contract structures.
- Trade Investment Management: Oversee trade promotion spending, evaluate return on investment, highlight deviations from planned rates, and support data-driven commercial decisions.
- Performance & Variance Analysis: Analyze and explain variances in net sales, customer profitability, trade activity, commissions, incentives, and controllable spending versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Sales-Driven Planning & Forecasting: Maintain a detailed understanding of sales-controlled P&L drivers to inform current-year outlooks and forward-year financial scenarios based on internal strategies and external market dynamics.
- Sales Engagement & Alignment: Participate in recurring and ad hoc sales leadership meetings, proactively communicate financial risks and opportunities, and ensure timely delivery of insights and commitments.
- Strategic & Cross-Functional Initiatives: Lead or contribute to high-impact initiatives spanning finance, sales, and other functions, ensuring financial rigor and actionable outcomes.
Other Financial Support
- Month-End Close & Cost Control: Manage month-end activities for assigned cost centers, ensuring accurate expense recognition and supporting budget adherence with cost center owners.
- Cost Center Planning: Expert in budgeting and forecasting process for shipments, net sales, and expenses within assigned responsibility areas.
- Reporting Enablement & Automation: Develop and support automated reporting solutions (Power BI, Analysis for Excel, etc.) and provide onboarding and training for sales team users.
- Audit & Compliance Support: Assist with internal and external audits related to commercial and operating expenses while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and regulatory standards.
- Team Development: Mentor and coach team members to strengthen analytical, technical, and business partnering capabilities.
- Policy & Control Oversight: Uphold financial controls and ensure consistent application of accounting standards across supported areas.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities but is a leader and expected to support the development of others.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Statistics, Math or Finance and 8+ years of relevant work experience required.

- Analytical: must be able to interpret financial data and communicate conclusions and recommendations to various levels of Management. Familiarity with a variety of financials concepts, practices, and procedures of financial analytics.
