DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position oversees inmate work crews that handle maintenance, repairs, construction, and groundskeeping across SCI Camp Hill. The role supports the facility by ensuring work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule. As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties:
- Crew Oversight: Lead inmate work crews in completing maintenance, construction, lawn care, snow removal, and janitorial assignments
- Skill Instruction: Teach proper use of tools, vehicles, and equipment while promoting safe work practices
- Work Inspection: Review completed tasks to ensure quality and confirm that work orders are finished appropriately
- Tool Management: Issue, track, and secure tools and materials while conducting searches to maintain accountability
- Task Planning: Determine needed supplies and submit requests to support upcoming maintenance work

- Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
