DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will perform a variety of advanced technical IT support tasks and be responsible for ensuring Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices are used to deliver high quality services. Work focuses on asset and configuration management; tracking, evaluating, and managing software licenses and usage; and system data accuracy. This includes serving as the liaison for functionality within the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) toolset (ServiceNow) in support of ITSM processes and providing customer service for EBR DC. As a Information Technology Generalist 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Asset Oversight: Manage lifecycle planning and documentation for hardware, software, and service catalog components
- Software Tracking: Monitor software licenses and usage to support compliance and reduce unnecessary costs
- Data Accuracy: Maintain configuration data and support improvements to asset and configuration management
- Process Support: Assist with testing, documenting, and improving discovery, integration, reconciliation, and auditing processes
- Reporting Work: Develop reports and metrics to support forecasting for contracts, equipment, and software use and budgets
- Customer Guidance: Help design and administer trainings and other presentations for technical and nontechnical staff

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. This position currently reports to the office on Monday and Tuesday each week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- A bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
