Job Summary
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily dispatching operations, coordinating transportation logistics, and ensuring compliance with Federal DOT regulations. This role supports field operations by managing driver schedules, equipment movement, and transportation documentation. The Logistics Supervisor may be required to travel to job sites, provide on-call support, and respond to operational needs outside of normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee daily dispatch operations and coordinate driver assignments to meet project schedules and production goals

* Monitor and ensure compliance with Federal DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards

* Maintain logs, inspections, and transportation records

* Coordinate the movement of equipment, materials, and personnel between job sites

* Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, drivers, and field personnel to support operational needs

* Assist with route planning, load scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency

* Respond to urgent transportation or operational issues, including after-hours or on-call situations as needed

* Travel to project locations to support logistics operations, conduct audits, or assist with field coordination

* Promote a strong safety culture and participate in safety meetings and company training

* Gather paperwork from drivers for daily trips, including receipts and shipping documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications


  • Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
  • High School Diploma required
  • 3-5 years' experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations
  • Knowledge of load securement and weight distribution
  • Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, or weekends
  • Ability to travel
  • Knowledge of Operation of Equipment

Work Environment & Location

* Ability to travel to different job sites and/or states as required

* May require evening, weekend, or on-call availability based on operational needs

Physical & Work Conditions


  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks such as chaining and tarping
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Frequent climbing, bending, and standing
  • Extended periods of driving
