Position Summary
As a member of the College of Engineering's Business Office, the Graduate Payroll Administrator will focus primarily on business operations affecting the College's Graduate Program. Responsibilities will include forecasting graduate payroll, processing tuition waivers and GTRIP returns, processing monthly graduate payroll, and submitting and processing salary changes or other salary functions.
This position will work closely with other members of the College outside of the Business Office including faculty supervisors, members from the College's Human Resources team, and staff from the College's Office of Academic Affairs and Assessment.
This is an hourly position with potential room for growth in the future. This position will utilize discretion for financial matters.

Graduate Funding and Payroll

  • Forecasting graduate payroll with faculty
  • Confirming available faculty funds for new graduate assistant hires
  • Processing graduate monthly payroll
  • Submitting and processing ad hoc salary changes for grads
  • Submitting and processing overpayments, emergency checks, and off-cycle payment requests
  • Submitting tuition waivers in Grad Status
  • Processing GTRIP returns

Liaison to Graduate Office

  • Calculating and verifying FTEs and comp rates in coordination with HR
  • Participating in and conducting two audits per semester alongside HR and Graduate Program
  • Coordinate with faculty to project tuition expenses in regards to G-TRIP
  • Present at Graduate student orientation when requested
