We're searching for a Camp Lead who, in partnership with the Area Manager, leads summer
camp day to day by building collaborative relationships, and ensuring joy for each and every
camper. If you're a natural-born leader who can inspire joy and empower a team, this position is for you!
WHAT THIS ROLE ENTAILS:
Before Summer Camp
In partnership with the Area Manager:
  • You will start planning summer camp beginning in the spring.
  • Partner with program managers at all summer camp feeder schools with marketing and communication to district families.
  • Send the welcome letter and all necessary paperwork before and after each week of camp.
  • Ensure all paperwork is on file for each camper before day one.
  • Lead Summer Camp live training
  • Join and/or review all summer camp training calls starting in April.
During Summer Camp
  • Act as the day to day manager for summer camp staff.
  • Create a working environment where all staff feel heard and take responsibility for different parts of the day.
  • Coordinate curriculum ordering and daily activities.
  • Ensure program quality meets Right At School standards:
  • Delivering quality Summer camp programs for children using the internally crafted curriculum.
  • Create groups in camp that follow the daily flow and camp components..
  • Manage and maintain safety standards.
  • Ensure that all camper paperwork including but not limited to Right At School waivers and child care licensing paperwork is completed.
  • The point person for families.
  • The point person for all mystery guests.
  • Work closely with school partners staff to ensure access to indoor and outdoor space needed during the summer.
Washington Requirements:
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
  • First Aid and CPR-in-person
  • Cleared tuberculosis test
  • Food Handlers Card
  • Proof of MMR
  • 18+ years of age
  • Proof of High School diploma/GED required
  • Background Check with fingerprinting
