OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY - Operating Budget

The Financial Analyst I for Operating Budget is responsible for activities related to planning, preparation, and execution of the operating and key statistic budgets for the designated campus as well as reporting on monthly performance against the budget plan. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to perform project related financial analysis with moderate supervision, increase financial acumen of operating partner teams through education and communication efforts, and understanding of key business lines for the assigned campus.

RIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Operating Budget

  1. Conducts basic to moderate financial analysis projects using decision support applications, data warehouses or other data and analytical tools under supervision.
  2. Leads the development of annual volume and expense budgets for the assigned campus. Budget process includes individual financial audits as well as communication with department leaders to determine appropriate budgets at a cost center level.
  3. Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide insights into financial and operational performance to department leaders.
  4. Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  5. Work closely with Accounting and other departments to ensure financial accuracy.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand impacts of operational changes on financial performance.
  7. Understands FP&A key decision support system and tools available to complete financial projects.

REQUIRED

  1. Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Public Health or Healthcare Administration or similar field Required
  2. Minimum 0 years of experience.
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experience using Excel.
  4. Good financial analysis, technical and data skills.
  5. Strong professional communication skills needed to work with cross-functional teams

PREFERRED

  1. Decision support or financial analysis experience.
  2. Experience with decision support products.
  3. Knowledge of writing queries in Access application and SQL or other advanced system languages.
