About the Opportunity:

As a Lap/Polish machinist, you will be responsible for operating Lap and Polishing equipment and/or EDM equipment to produce precision aerospace components working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and a passion for producing high-quality components. You will collaborate daily with quality, engineering, and production team members as part of a high-performance manufacturing team focused on delivery, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Location: Prescott, AZ

This is a full-time role that may require some extended hours and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and operate Lap and Polishing equipment and/or EDM equipment.
  • Follow and adhere to established Quality procedures
  • Read and Interpret Aerospace engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Setup machines with proper fixtures, and abrasives
  • Operate precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height stands, optical flats, and indicators.
  • Monitor Machine Performance and adjust as necessary to maintain process capability
  • Perform in-process quality checks and document results according to aerospace quality standards (AS9100, etc.)
  • Maintain Accurate documentation of work performed (travelers, work orders, Inspection logs)
  • Perform routine maintenance on LAP equipment and assist with troubleshooting when issues arise
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality and other departments to ensure production goals and quality requirements are met
  • Accurately clock in and out on work orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with aerospace components or working in an AS9100/ISO-certified environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to EHS policies.

Working Conditions

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to climb ladder, work on platforms, and climb stairs
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
