The Healthcare Economics Consultant - Clinical Analytics & Affordability Reporting is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a highquality analytics and reporting suite that supports clinical programs, pharmacy analytics and affordability initiatives. This role partners closely with crossfunctional clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, accurate, and actionable reporting solutions.

The consultant will execute complex analyses, drive operational excellence, and identify opportunities for medical and pharmacy cost improvement through robust data analysis and visualization. This role requires strong healthcare domain expertise, advanced SQL skills, and experience developing dashboards and reporting products using modern business intelligence tools, including medical and pharmacy claimsbased data sources.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a reporting suite that supports clinical & pharmacy analytics and affordability initiatives, including utilization management, medical expense reduction, operational metrics, and KPIs
  • Understand clinical & pharmacy programs and identify appropriate reporting solutions and analytical approaches to support program goals
  • Understand data structures and content; perform detailed data analysis; and write complex SQL queries to identify medical and pharmacy cost drivers, utilization trends, membership trends, and other key insights
  • Distribute curated datasets and analytical outputs to support forecasting, reporting, and datadriven decisionmaking
  • Follow data visualization best practices and create, maintain, and document report development templates and related artifacts
  • Ensure highquality reporting outputs through detailed validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks; drive report development and validation processes endtoend
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills by developing a portfolio of dashboards and reports that clearly convey insights to stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and communicate design, development, or data issues, and recommend effective solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Health Administration, Mathematics, or a related field, or a relevant degree with 4+ years of healthcare experience
  • 3+ years of healthcare claims domain knowledge in a data warehouse or analytics environment (medical and/or pharmacy claims)
  • 3+ years of SQL experience (Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, or similar), including complex queries and stored procedures
  • 3+ years of advanced Excel experience, including Power Pivot, data connections, and queries
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present ideas and analytical findings to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of data visualization and dashboard development experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Experience working with pharmacy data, including pharmacy claims, utilization, or drug spend analytics

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
